TMJ Trigger Point Therapy CPD COURSE

Image

Clients may have painful areas that don't respond to local treatment because the pain is referred from another area called a trigger point. Trigger point therapy can be used for TMJ dysfunction, clicking jaw, jaw pain and grinding teeth. Every muscle has potential trigger points, and while they may show no symptoms, without treatment the muscle tension increases and new trigger points develop, causing chronic pain conditions to gradually worsen, and abnormal movement patterns to occur.
