DURATION: theory at your own pace, practical day in Tunbridge Wells
PREREQUISITES: Body Massage Diploma, Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology, ideally a sports massage diploma L3 and above
This course is intended for anyone who has already undertaken basic body massage/sports massage training:-
• to develop their joint assessment skills, using the Regional Anatomical Pre-requisites Model, in order to determine where an injury originates rather than simply treating where the pain is
• to familiarise themselves with special orthopaedic tests which can be used as part of the assessment to gain further insight into the root of injuries

LEARNING OUTCOMES
• to develop your knowledge of joint assessment skills, using the RAP model
• to be able to identify the true origin of an injury rather than relying on where the pain is
• to become confident in using special orthopaedic tests as part of the assessment process
ASSESSMENT
Theory assessment only –The overall pass mark must exceed 70%. If you don’t pass the first time you can retake the assessment at no extra charge.
QUALIFICATION: Joint Assessment accredited by the IGCT will act as an addition to your CPD.
